The Launch Event

9 December 2021 was a big night for us. After 17,000 hours of
volunteering work, we finally launched our chatbot Sophia for only one
purpose: to bring light to those who are in the dark. To help survivors
suffering from domestic violence. Sophia is our first step in fulfilling
our mission to develop innovative tools that empower people to take
action, and help to eliminate societal injustices anywhere in the world.

This night was an important milestone for our entire team. Being
founded during the pandemic, it was also the first time the majority of
us met in person. We came together and invited our supporters, partners,
friends and family to celebrate the success and also the harder
challenges we faced on our journey to get here. Most importantly, we
want to thank the people who inspired us and gave us wings and the
support to achieve our goal. Without you, we wouldn’t have the power to
empower.

We would like to thank our dear friend and courageous survivor who
spoke out during the panel discussion and shared her story with us. We
would like to thank the director of the victims assistance in Zürich and
national coordinator for showing up every single day for survivors of
domestic violence and giving them hope and guidance in their darkest
moment. Thank you both of you for sharing your work and story with us
during the event.

We are now one step closer to helping more people. We are one step
closer to bringing the light in the darkness to those in need. Sophia is
now live and ready to give a helping hand to those who need her: sophia.chat
