Murati’s origin story begins in Vlorë, Albania. She moved to Victoria, Canada, at the age of 16 and attended Pearson United World College of the Pacific. As CTO for OpenAI, Murati believes that massive advancements in technology will have to play a role in solving the world’s biggest challenges, and her oversight of the rollouts of DALL.E 2 and ChatGPT will be that catalyst in the AI revolution. She gave the world ChatGPT, or Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer, an AI chatbot created by OpenAI. It is a Large Language Model (LLM), trained on massive amounts of language data to accurately predict the next word of a sentence.
