We as individuals and as an organisation commit to:

We commit to acting as a catalyst for others.

We support and – most importantly – we act as the catalyst for others by actively seeking out and creating opportunities to empower those around us. We also accept opportunities to empower ourselves, as to help others and the world, you must start with yourself.

“I am not free while any woman is unfree, even when her shackles are very different from my own.” – Audre Lorde

We commit to continuously ask questions and learn.

There is a world of endless knowledge out there and we at Spring ACT wish to continuously learn from everyone who we are fortunate enough to cross paths with. No matter who they are, we remember there is always something to learn from the person sitting across from you.

“When you talk, you are only repeating what you know; but when you listen, you learn something.“ – Dalai Lama

We commit to ensuring that our teams and products encompass the diversity of our shared humanity.

We commit to going the extra mile to provide equal access to opportunities and resources for all people, especially those who have been historically excluded and/or marginalised. Inclusivity and diversity are the building-blocks of innovation and thriving communities. We recognise that we can only reach our fullest potential when all voices are actively included at all levels and in all aspects of our ventures.

“United in our diversities, we are stronger than all the forces that are trying to divide us.” – Dr. med. Sophia Papamichalopoulos OLY

We commit to actively creating positive effects in our interactions with others.

With every interaction, we have the opportunity to create a moment that leaves the other person better off than they were before. This can be as small as making them smile, offering words of encouragement, or openly recognising their value. We at ACT commit to trying to make every interaction count. You never know what impact the smallest gesture can have on the other person. Your interaction can change the world – maybe not the entire world, but a person’s world.

“For there is always light, if only we’re brave enough to see it. If only we’re brave enough to be it.” – Amanda Gorman

We commit to trying our best to understand other people’s experiences and to act upon this understanding.

We strive to put ourselves in the other person’s shoes and understand their experience from within their frame of reference. Compassion is one of the most powerful forces we have at our disposal. It can defeat intolerance and injustice. By being compassionate we embrace the rich diversity of humanity by treating everyone as equals.

“There is no world. There’s only eight billion understandings of it.” – Drew Dudley

We commit to leading and living our values each day.

We choose our actions based on a consistent set of values. We see and treat integrity as the seed for success, both professionally and personally. Integrity helps foster an open and positive work environment and an ethical approach to decision-making, which is at the centre of our mission.

“When they go low, we go high.” – Michelle Obama

We commit to working together to achieve our common goals.

We work together. We know our purpose and where we want it to take us. We include each other in the work we do and ensure every person has a voice at the table. We are “puzzle solvers”, collaborating together to provide answers, solutions, recommendations, and remedies that help eliminate societal injustices globally.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead

We commit to creating and embracing moments of fun and enjoyment.

Life has its ups and downs. It can be especially challenging to work on difficult topics such as violence against women, discrimination, and other social injustices. We therefore commit to actively create and embrace countless moments of fun and many celebrations at ACT. We thoroughly look forward to them.

“Celebrate your journey of Life.”– Lailah Gifty Akita
