HEAD OF IMPACT COMMUNICATION, ADVOCACY, AND BRANDING
(50% – 100%, remote)

Our vision is to empower people through innovative technologies to take action and help eliminate global social injustices. We are Spring ACT – Action. Compassion. Technology. –  an award-winning, Swiss-based global non-profit organisation run by a dedicated and diverse team and based on our values of empowerment, curiosity, courage, inclusiveness, impact, integrity, compassion, and fun (read more).  We developed “Sophia” – the global chatbot assisting people impacted by domestic violence to gather potential evidence and seek help in every country in the world.

THE ROLE:

If you join our dynamic and passionate team you will help us increase our impact by:

  • Developing and implementing an overarching communication and branding strategy that aligns with our mission to connect human rights and technology for ending global social injustices.
  • Leading advocacy campaigns to ensure people affected by domestic violence globally are able to reach out to our chatbot Sophia. on various platforms, engaging with diverse audiences globally.
  • Collaborating with technology and human rights experts to create impactful, informative content.
  • Managing public relations, including media interactions, press releases, and digital content creation.
  • Overseeing the design and dissemination of advocacy materials and branding elements.
  • Measuring and analysing the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with partners, stakeholders, and media outlets.
  • Collaborating with the executive team as well as guiding and mentoring a team of communication ACTivists (volunteers).
  • Ensuring consistency in our organisation’s voice, tone, and messaging across all channels.
  • Staying updated on global trends in human rights, technology, and communications, and incorporating these insights into our strategies.
  • Working conditions: Remote and flexible working hours.

YOUR PROFILE:

We are looking for a dynamic and visionary individual with the following qualifications and qualities:

  • Experience and Expertise:
      • Proven track record in advocacy and social media management in a non-profit or human rights context.
      • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful communication and advocacy strategies.
      • Proficiency in digital communication tools and social media platforms, with a particular expertise in LinkedIn.
      • Experience in building a movement through a multi-channel approach.
  • Passion for Social Justice: A deep commitment and strong passion for human rights, social justice, and the use of technology as a tool for change.
  • Leadership Skills: Nurturing leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others. Experience in building and leading diverse and high-performing teams.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
      • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex issues in a clear and engaging manner.
      • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
      • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and diverse international team.
  • Strategic Thinking:
      • Ability to think strategically and creatively in developing communication and advocacy initiatives.
      • Skilled in identifying opportunities for impact and innovation.
  • Learning: Eagerness to learn and consistently evolve with new trends and technologies
  • Adaptability and Resilience:
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Resilient and adaptable, able to navigate challenges and uncertainties.

CONTRACT AND SALARY

This is a remote position (outside of Europe) on a freelance contract at the percentage 50% – 100% that can be adapted according to the needs of the successful candidate. Compensation is offered in accordance to the successful candidate’s qualifications and national salary standards of where they are based, as we are recruiting outside of Europe.
