Clinton is a global brand creative with over 25 years experience leading teams across four continents for the Karma Group, an International boutique luxury travel brand. Clinton has worked all over the world creating a remarkable international branding. Clinton is also the founder of Quevis.co : a renowned and award-winning digital and creative agency, whose clients include Disney, Coca Cola, Allianz, Sheraton, Shell, and Barclays.

Clinton joined Spring ACT exactly one year ago and with his beautiful designs and branding has propelled our organisation to a whole new level. There are not enough words to tell you, dear reader, how important and precious Clinton has become to our team, mission, and vision. Both on a personal and professional level we could not be happier and more grateful to have Clinton by our side.

Tell us about yourself and your professional life.

I am a Senior Creative Director with over 25 years experience steering global brands and leading teams spanning four continents. I started my career with the Millionaire Magazines as a Creative designer and soon moved up to Art Director within 6 months. In my role with Millionaire Media, I was acting Art Director for Starwood AIME, GHI Hotels UK and Barclay’s SA.

I have been Head of Global Branding at luxury boutique travel brand Karma Group for two decades, responsible for the company’s branding, social, web, group communications and all of its media output. I have won multiple Global Networking Experience (GNEX) and American Resort Development Association (ARDA) awards in recognition of my contributions to the industry.

I have also founded Quevis.co, an award-winning digital and creative agency that delivers broad-canvas campaigns for a wide range of clients as well as supporting philanthropic projects.

What motivated you to join the ACT team as a volunteer and be so dedicated to its mission?

I first came across Kona Connect (at the time), now Spring ACT in an advert on Facebook in March 2021. The advert was looking for volunteers and as I had just finished working on the Berlin Christmas market campaign, I had some time to spare.

I wanted to use this free time to dedicate myself to worthwhile cause – so I reached out to Rhiana, had a call and was then onboarded.

What is your role at ACT and what is your favourite part about working in the ACT team?

My current role at Spring ACT is Brand Creative, which covers a lot of the design work here. I worked on the new Spring ACT branding, helped to set up the style guide for the entire media output and designs by Spring ACT. I mainly worked alongside Rhiana, and it has been exciting to welcome new team members along the way as there is lots to be done! Now that my work is coming back into full force, I’ll be assuming a slightly smaller role here at Spring ACT so it’s great to work in such a promising team.

Here at Spring ACT, Rhiana and the team are creating an amazing tool – from a firsthand perspective, having had a mother who was a survivor of domestic violence, I wish there was support like this back then. I think she would’ve had a very different life and if I can change the life of even one person, then I would have helped make a small difference.

My favourite part about being in the team is getting to meet the other volunteers at monthly meetings and seeing what drives them to work at Spring ACT. Working in this particular group brings with it a great deal of perspective, given it is minaly women I Work with. Coming from a male-dominated environment, it’s incredible to see so many young women who have such an amazing sense of disposition towards feminism – it has enabled me to understand genuine feminism to a higher extent.

What is your proudest moment working at Spring ACT?

My proudest moment since I have worked at Spring ACT is when Sophia was launched in Zurich, Switzerland. It was amazing to see the turnout at the event and understand that this was no longer just a project – it was reality. Thinking about the process, Sophia went from something in development to a full-blown product. When something is in development it might not always come to fruition, there are always teething issues, so Sophia coming to life as a functioning product has definitely been my proudest moment.
